Casting an unconventional eye on the futile things in life – that’s what makes Pierre-Arnaud Gillet tick. Seen through his lens, the invisible becomes outstanding and the insignificant, sublime. The floor-markings are transformed into part-painting, part-raw material, part-photographic pictures. An astonishing representation of an unsuspected reality that P-A Gillet’s precise eye composes through the lens, thus breathing new life into these once hidden treasures. This photography series has been realised in April 2006 in Hong Kong.
