Ladies and gentlemen, it’s been a long time but the wait is worth it. Listen to Pink’s So What, produced by Max Martin. This new single solidifies her position as pop’s rock girl with a stomper that includes blaring guitars, subtle synth flicks and a hooky chorus that will hit you with flue-like infection. “So What” deals with life after marriage as Pink makes several references to her divorce of Corey Hart after his rumored infidelity. The video for the single will premier on August 22 and will show the singer riding up and down the Sunset Strip in a lawn mover.
And yes, just like Stupid Girl, there is a reference to Jessica Simpson.

Scissor Sister Jake Shears will be featured on the cover of the coming issue of BUTT, the quarterly gay journal which is equal parts raunch and literary interviews. This time it’s by the fabulous designer/photographer Hedi Slimane. This fall issue – no. 24 – will be out late August. With loads of contributions by BUTT readers and interviews with Jake Shears from New York, Rosa von Praunheim from Berlin, Will Munro from Toronto and ‘Your Big Dick Host’ from Brooklyn.

It’s coming in 2009 but people around the world are already hyped about The Sims 3. The official EA site has just released a new video trailer yesterday and it’s better than ever. Step outside the the box and limitations of the old Sims and get ready for a whole new Sims world. Watch out for the guy with make-up, I have a feeling that he would be one of the main characters in the upcoming game. The UK receptionist/gymnast Alison Caroll has just been announced as the new face of Lara Croft. No more Angelina Jolie? Not quite, according to the Telegraph:
“But Carroll has not landed a movie role – instead she will promote the new Tomb Raider video game, Underworld, which is released in November. Nell McAndrew found fame as the first Lara Croft model in the 1990s. Carroll will star in TV adverts and travel the world to meet Lara Croft fans.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and I am really looking forward to embracing Lara’s world,” she said. “I still can’t believe they chose me to take on the role of Lara – and I can’t wait to get stuck in. This is my dream job. I have always wanted to be an action hero and hope to be able to use my gymnastic ability to perform all of Lara’s stunts.”

For OUT’s September issue, photographer Francois Rousseau remade the myth with Chad White as a fashion forward Icarus. Icarus was the son of Daedalus, who crafted two sets of wax wings so he and his son could escape exile in Crete. He warned Icarus not to fly too close to the sun, which Icarus did. Icarus fell into the sea. Of course, he wasn’t wearing a feather scarf by Burberry Prorsum at the time.
