The latest work from the Grickle animation series by cartoonist Graham Annable is “Zoo.” It highlights one simple theme; “Does the cage keep the madness in or the MADNESS out?“
As a cartoonist living in Oregon, Annable is the creator of the Grickle and Further Grickle graphic novels. He also contributes and is the editor of the Hickee comic series from Alternative comics.
Be sure to also check out his graphic novels here.
Dutch artist Benjamin Verdonck takes “nesting” to a whole new level. He has built a nest in the side of a skyscraper in Rotterdam. He’s staying there for seven days and built it out of “the crowns of twenty-three silver birches. one birch one willow two straw bales one bucket of spit three bags of sand twelve buckets of glue nineteen cans of polyurethane foam.” Here’s his website if you can read Dutch.
There’s also a giant egg sitting on the street. It makes me wonder if “he” is actually portraying a female bird. A loon or cuckoo, you decide. I personally love the idea.
Here are two clips of Verdonck, the egg, and some bewildered looking onlookers:
Fuerzabruta, the wet and wild who were also seen in an episode of America’s Next Top Model, is going to launch their “Boy’s Night” on May 16th. Water, craziness, techno music and the mylar overhead swimming stage all guaranteed! Boys Night will “feature remixed scenes and choreography- putting the men of Fuerzabruta in the water and at the fore.”
