US5 Around the World Without Robin Gibb

International boyband US5 has just released their album “Around the World’. Following their huge success in the past, Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb decided to sing in their single “Too Much Heaven” from their previous album. When the world thought the time of boybands has come to its demise, US5’s international success and awards received prove otherwise.

Below is the clip of their newest single, Round and Round. This time they’re on their own without good old Robin Gibb.

VOGUE: Topless= New Black?

The latest issue of Vogue Germany features Claudia Schiffer as a totally topless catwoman. Not that posing sans-clothing is anything new for celebrities, but the recent rash of nudie portraits for Vogue in particular has us wondering: is naked the new black? How long before we see C-List celebs trying to keep up by taking it off for lesser known mags? Can we expect to see Courtney Love or Britney Spears reviving their fledgling careers by posing for Mirabella?

P.S. Her nipples appear to be airbrushed out. Unless she suffers from a rare disease where they’re invisible. In which case, Claudia, my sincere apologies.

Life Before Death: Photography of the departed

Taking portraits, easy. What about taking portraits before and after death?

“This sombre series of portraits taken of people before and after they had died is a challenging and poignant study. The work by German photographer Walter Schels and his partner Beate Lakotta, who recorded interviews with the subjects in their final days, reveals much about dying – and living.”

If you check out this article from guardian.co.uk, you’ll find the two portraits of all of the subjects were taken within a month. It’s strange how they can be so different within a month, being alive and being dead.

Life Before Death is at the Wellcome Collection from April 9 to May 18.

The detail in blue :Ballon Bleu de Cartier

Cartier’s hip item of the year, ballon bleu de Cartier, merges out-of-the-box creativity with traditional elegance (thus the word ballon).

To comply with the watch, the luanch party at Shang-hai was all about creativity. It was, to borrow the phrase from Disney, magical. The conference hall was turned into a red gift box placed on a blue velvet, which was vigourous and futuristic. The guests in the red cocktail area provided a magic album of ballon bleu de Cartier which transfer photos through bluetooth. It immediately turned the guests into a main character of a comic. Then the French magician would turn blue balloons into champagnes and gold fish which floats in the air. With the help of the lights, countless images of ballon bleu watches were showcased. Interesting aye?

That’s wasn’t all. Imagine an absolute silver tunnel on the second floor filled with Cartier watches at both sides. On the third floor it was a blue theme room with a performance by an English opera singer complimented by modern dancers as the opening, followed by a contemporary “Magical Sand” performance by a German artists. The night ended with a Chinese Musician “Lee Chuan(李泉).”
