Nightwish Concert 2008 DVD Out NOW

nightwish live concert 2008 sydney dvd

With its new vocalist, Anette Olzon, Nightwish is definitely back. After their new album in 2007, Dark Passion Play, the legendary Finnish symphonic metal band took on the world with a tour. For those who have missed it or couldn’t get enough of Nightwish (like vampire hunger for blood, I know I did), the wait is finally over. The DVD records some pre-show footage and the live concert at The Enmore Theatre Sydney (why does it always have to be the concert in Australia? Remember Christina Aguilera’s Back To Basics: Live and Down Under?)

Anyway, here’s the track list:

1. Pre-show footage
2. Intro, Bye Bye Beautiful
3. Cadence Of Her Last Breath
4. Dark Chest Of Wonders
5. Ever Dream
6. Whoever Brings The Night
7. Amaranth
8. The Islander
9. The Poet And The Pendulum
10. Sacrament Of Wilderness
11. Sahara
12. Nemo
13. 7 Days To The Wolves
14. Wishmaster
15. Wish I Had An Angel

Here’s also a little teaser from the DVD, with them performing The Poet And The Pendulum:

Kerli- Walking On Air: Now I Feel Dizzy

Kerli’s new video “Walking On Air” has just been released. It features some spinning, sexy clothing and a scary doll singing. No I didn’t say Kerli is the scary doll, there is literally a scary doll singing in this video. Kerli herself is quite lovely.

The video is produced by JP Fox and directed by Aggressive. The music producer is Lester Mendez.

A Little Less Goth: Xandria Minus One

Xandria

The symphonic metal band with light electronic elements noted for having a penchant for myths with an exotic flair is definitely not the same without Lisa Middelhauve. They are now officially looking for a new vocalist to replace their former leader which left 2 weeks ago for personal reasons.

Here’s the quote from their official web site on Middelhauve’s departure:

“Lisa Middelhauve is not the singer of Xandria anymore. After almost eight years of successful work together she decided to leave the band due to personal reasons. For some time now Lisa didn´t feel comfortable with her role as Xandria´s front woman anymore and wants to step aside to make it possible for the band to find someone who can stand behind Xandria completely. A step that we all regret, but is highly respected. We want to thank her for the great, successful and unforgettable time we had together and wish her only the best for the future! Thank you – your contribution to Xandria and everything you did for the band we will never forget!”

Here’s one of their last music videos with Lisa Middelhauve released in summer 2007, “Save My Life”
